This past 17th of October, the nutritionist Gemma Bes presented her book, “Living without Gluten”, a collaborative project with Michelin-star chef Tomeu Caldentey, who has put together a collection of gluten-free recipes to offer alternatives for those suffering gluten intolerance. Tomeu Arbona, del Fornet de la Soca, was also present during the presentation.
In this book, nutritionist Gemma Bes offers important advice and solutions for gluten intolerance without having to sacrifice our life-style due to a change of eating habits.
As Caldentey put it, “Living without gluten isn’t about being constantly at odds with good eating.” Bes also explains in key terms how to detect the disease, the diagnosis, the new habits, and the psychological help needed to cope with eating changes. Moreover, she analyses the general importance of taking care of our intestines.
The book includes easy-to-prepare weekly menus to incorporate into our routine and shopping lists for gluten-intolerant people to save time and easily start “living without gluten”.
