Short term property rental: can I still rent my home to foreigners in Mallorca?

The Regional Government of the Balearic Islands recently carried out inspections regarding holiday rental and since then much has been written on the matter: How does the new law affect holiday rental? Is it still possible to rent a home to tourists?

The ministry has decreed that only registered holiday homes can be rented. Certain conditions must be met in order to register the property and documentation related to the home, the owner and the security of the property must be drawn up.
