The foreign sale and purchase of private property has increased by 19%

The sale and purchase of private property by people of a foreign nationality has experienced a year on year increase of 19.7% over the first half of 2016, according to data from the Notarial Statistics Centre.

50.5% of all operations carried out over this period were completed by non-resident citizens; British, French, German and Swedish nationals are leading the way when it comes to the sale and purchase of property by foreigners.

Mallorca Sotheby's can confirm these figures as three of the best sales completed through their offices over this year have been purchased by Swedish nationals.
