The universe is seen and heard from Mallorca

The space observatory in Costitx, Mallorca, has recently acquired a new piece of equipment in the form of a radio telescope which can capture sound signals from space.

This new radio telescope will be connected and aimed at the sky 24 hours a day so that it can receive the sounds made by supernovas or even by the Sun, although its main objective is to get the school children who visit the centre more interested in space and the universe we live in.
