At the end of next summer, they will begin the reconversion on the seaside promenade Paseo Marítimo in which, “a viable project has been selected that was reached by the consensus of neighbours, retailers, restaurateurs, the city council, and the Balearic Port Authority (APB, Autoritat Portuària de Balears).”, explained Antoni Noguera during the World Travel Market in London. He says that the understanding is mutual and that ultimately, we will have the best seaside promenade in all of Europe.
The main objective is to make urban improvements to the roadway, so, six lanes will become a boulevard with four lanes, a garden area in the centre, and more space for vehicle parking. They estimate that the project will be finished before April of 2019.
This, as well as the planned renovations for the Club de Mar Marina, which has already been approved by the council, will transform the Paseo Marítimo into a delightful area to live and spend time.
