Santanyí is one of the inland areas with the highest demand for properties. Even today, its sandstone quarry provides much of the material for the façades, floors and interiors of the houses built in the island’s countryside. The new roads connecting Santanyí and Campos with Palma in just twenty minutes have also helped to increase the appeal of this part of the island.
This stretches from the Drach caves in Porto Cristo almost as far as the east of Palma bay in the municipality of Llucmajor. The marinas of Cala d’Or and Sa Ràpita have recently been reformed, and this is the area with the best and most well conserved beaches of Majorca.
In the interior, the area around Santanyí and Ses Salines is in great demand with non-residents.
