This is the largest area of the island and contains over half of Majorca's territory. Although these properties do not have sea views, the large plot size means it is possible to have a beautiful garden. You can even grow your own olive, almond or carob grove, something very typical for this part of the island. Towns such as Lloseta, Santa Eugenia and Sencelles are well-connected to the capital city of Palma. This area is well-known for its vineyards and cellars of José Luis Ferrer and Macià Batle. Mallorca's second largest city, Inca, is located in this central area. Sa Pobla is known for its agricultural production, in particular new potatoes and strawberries. These delicacies are exported to the United Kingdom and for local and international markets. Sineu, Petra, Manacor, Felanitx, Campos and Llucmajor are also in this area. There are three charming rural hotels in the region that are worth mentioning. Firstly, you can find Hotel Reserva Rotana in the centre of the island near Manacor. It comes with a nine-hole golf course for its guests, one of the main attractions. Secondly, Hotel Reads in Santa Maria and thirdly, Hotel Son Net in Puigpunyent are very popular with tourists. The Raixa public estate is in Bunyola.
