The 2nd Urban Race Rafa Nadal Sports Centre by Mallorca Sotheby´s raises more than 5,000 euros of profit for the ONG Llevant en Marxa

On the 26th of December, the second edition of the Urban Race Rafa Nadal Sports Centre took place, a charity race organized by the sports center itself and with Mallorca Sotheby´s International Realty as the main sponsor.

In this edition, the profit of more than € 5,000 euros went to the Llevant en Marxa association, a non-governmental organization founded in 1996, in Mallorca. They work on projects to improve life of the most disadvantaged people in various countries in the world.

The race consisted of an easy route, without any technical difficulties and therefore suitable for everyone to join. In this edition, more than 600 people participated.

In the 6-km race, Manuel Carlos Outun Besada won the masculine category and Rosa Sala Fullana claimed the price of the feminine race. The winner of the 11 km was Biel Martínez Ginard, and of the women in this distance, Marga Fullana Riera was the fastest.

There was also a category for the children with special distances and rules according to their age. Once they finished the race, the participants could enjoy a hot chocolate with the typical Mallorcan ensaimada while the prizes were handed over to the three fastest participants in each category.

Also during the party there were a range of activities during the whole morning, for all runners, fans and visitors. The smallest ones had the opportunity to jump in a bouncer castle and carry out different activities and games.

Mallorca Sotheby´s International Realty, the main sponsor of the event, supports solidary events already for years in the Balearics and in this case, we are especially proud to have had the opportunity to support this special race, an initiative that contributes to both charity and sports in Manacor and on the island.
